The core of Fernabucco ensemble is a gamba duet, Julia Karpeta and Krzysztof Karpeta. From the beginning of its existence, the ensemble has focused its attention on the quality of sound, recognizing the style of the performed music, and communication with the audience. These musicians perform together since 2008. Their duet performance gave them 2nd place at the Intenational Competition of Early Music in Żory in 2012. The ensemble performed, among other places, at the Bach Festival in Świdnica, L. van Beethoven Festival in Kraków, Actus Humanus in Gdańsk, Non Sola Scripta in Wrocław and MITO SettembreMusica in Italy. The ensemble expands depending on their needs and they add theorbo, harpsichord and percussion instruments. Their repertoire includes 16th, 17th and 18th-century composers. Their authorial program „Viola da gamba – a mucical journay through 16th-17th Europe” makes it possible for them to popularize this instrument and the legacy of the composers from those times.
Together, they recorded the album „Marin Marais & Antoine Forqueray”(Cd Accord), which gained recognition worldwide in enthusiastic reviews. The recordings with the Wrocław Baroque Ensemble have also been repeatedly appreciated with the Fryderyk music award.

Trzonem Fernabucco jest powstały 14 lat temu duet gambowy w składzie Julia Karpeta i Krzysztof Karpeta. Od początku swojego istnienia zespół skupia swoją uwagę na jakości brzmienia, rozpoznaniu stylu wykonywanej muzyki oraz komunikatywności z odbiorcami. Jako duet zajęli II miejsce na Międzynarodowym Konkursie Muzyki Dawnej w Żorach w 2012 roku. Zespół występował na Festiwalu im. L. van Beethovena w Krakowie, Actus Humanus w Gdańsku, Festiwalu Bachowskim w Świdnicy, Non Sola Scripta we Wrocławiu oraz MITO SettembreMusica we Włoszech. Zespół powiększa swój skład, w zależności od potrzeb, o teorbę, klawesyn i instrumenty perkusyjne, a także inne viole, tworząc consort. W ich repertuarze znajdują się utwory kompozytorów XVI, XVII i XVIII w. Poprzez swój autorski program „Viola da gamba – muzyczna podróż po Europie XVI-XVIII w.” popularyzują ten instrument i spuściznę kompozytorów tamtych czasów.
Wspólnie nagrali płytę „Marin Marais&Antoine Forqueray” (Cd Accord), która zdobywa uznanie na całym świecie w entuzjastycznych recenzjach, z kolei nagrania z zespołem Wrocław Baroque Ensemble kilkukrotnie zostały docenione nagrodą muzyczną Fryderyk.
